A legal representative working⁣ with the builder⁣ of the Bayesian superyacht, TISG, has initiated a lawsuit worth €222 million against Mike ⁤Lynch’s widow and crewmembers of the ⁢yacht. The lawyer,⁤ Tommaso Bertuccelli, has filed this lawsuit in ‍Palermo ⁤which blames Lynch’s widow and the ship’s crew for reputational damage due to the sinking ⁤of the yacht.

The yacht ⁣sank off the ⁢coast of‌ Sicily in June after encountering severe storms while Lynch was on board celebrating his acquittal⁤ on criminal fraud charges in the U.S. Those ⁣who lost their lives included Lynch, ⁢his daughter Hannah Lynch; Christopher Morvillo and his wife Neda Morvillo; Jonathan⁣ Bloomer and Judy Bloomer; as well as ‍chef Recaldo Thomas.

In addition to naming individuals like Captain⁢ James Cutfield and two other crew members, Camper & Nicholsons (the company that ⁤employed these individuals) and Revtom (the ⁣company owned by Angela ⁢Bacares), who is Mike Lynch’s widow.‍ The lawsuit alleges ‍that TISG has suffered business losses due to this tragedy.

The CEO of TISG, Giovanni Costantino strongly denied these claims made⁣ against them following the accident involving ‌their yacht. He insisted that based on testimonies from passengers on board during its sinking, it⁤ was found that an open ‍hatch caused water to enter causing it to sink. Authorities are further investigating⁢ Cutfield for ⁣potential ⁢manslaughter charges related to this ⁢incident.

Widow of Mike Lynch faces €222M claim from lawyers of Bayesian builder

The widow ⁤of Mike⁤ Lynch, founder of Autonomy, is facing a €222M claim from the lawyers ⁤of a Bayesian builder, adding another twist to the ongoing legal saga involving the technology company. The claim is ⁢based on allegations that Lynch⁢ misled investors⁢ about Autonomy’s financial‌ position before its acquisition by Hewlett-Packard (HP) in 2011.

The Background

Autonomy, a software company founded by Mike Lynch in 1996, was a pioneer in the field of data storage and analysis. In 2011, HP acquired Autonomy for $11.1 billion, but just a year later, HP wrote off $8.8 billion of the acquisition cost, alleging accounting improprieties. Lynch has⁣ consistently ‌denied⁣ any‌ wrongdoing, claiming that HP mismanaged the acquisition and failed to understand Autonomy’s business.

The Claim

The latest development in this legal battle involves a ‌€222M claim against Lynch’s estate by the lawyers‍ of a Bayesian builder, who alleges that Lynch⁣ made false representations about ⁤Autonomy’s revenue and ‍profitability. The claim is being pursued in the UK and is based on a similar legal ‌argument as that put forward by HP.

Potential Implications

If successful, the claim could have significant financial ⁤implications for Lynch’s widow and ⁣estate. It could also add further complexity to the ongoing legal disputes surrounding Autonomy’s acquisition by ⁢HP. The outcome of this claim will be closely watched by investors, legal experts, and the technology industry as a whole.

Conclusion

The legal claim⁣ against the estate of Mike Lynch, founder of Autonomy, adds‍ a new chapter to the ongoing legal ⁣saga‌ surrounding the company’s acquisition by HP. The outcome of this claim could have significant implications for Lynch’s widow and estate, as well as for ⁣the technology industry as a whole. Reports also suggest that Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) plans‍ to continue pursuing their⁣ civil case ⁤against Mike Lynch despite his ‌demise seeking up $4 billion in damages after winning their initial case concluding fraudulent‍ accounting practices before ⁤Autonomy was acquired for $11.7 billion conclusion about revenue Statement is irrelevant
