(Updated 6:11 p.m.) The Philippines’ candidate to this year’s Miss International, Janicel Lubina, has made it to the pageant’s top 10.
Joining Lubina in the top 10 are the contestants from Brazil, Honduras, Kenya, Mexico, Thailand, the United Kingdom, USA, Venezuela, and Vietnam.
The following special awards have been given out so far:
Miss International Asia – Korea Miss International Europe – Portugal Miss International America – Aruba Miss International Africa – Kenya Miss International Oceana – Hawaii
The daughter of a domestic helper and a former domestic helper herself, Lubina, 20, was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2015 in March.
The Miss International pageant is being held in Tokyo.
