RANGERS are regarded one of the best performing clubs in Europe over the past five years, according to new data.
Philippe Clement’s Light Blues still have a job to do on the continental stage this year with qualification from their Europa League group up for grabs when they take on Real Betis later this month.

But while their do-or-die clash in Seville on December 14 will settle their fate for the remainder of the campaign, the Gers can still take a lot of pride from their European performances over the latest five-year period.
The Ibrox club reached the final of the Europa League under Giovanni van Bronckhorst in the 2021/22 season but they were humiliated on their return to the Champions League last year.
Celtic have failed to carry the flag in Europe in recent years though and have found themselves without a knockout round win in any competition in 19 years.
The likes of Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts have struggled to deliver any impressive results in recent seasons either.

Rangers deserve most of the credit for Scotland’s recent rise in Uefa’s coefficient rankings, with two Champions League spots up for grabs in the Premiership since last season.
And according to stats compiled by Swiss Football Data, Rangers have accumulated 16.975 coefficient points over the last five years, more than the likes of Real Madrid, Liverpool, Barcelona and Chelsea have in the same period.
It puts them in fourth place with only Manchester City, Bayern Munich and PSG ahead.
Pep Guardiola’s men are top of the pile on 19.518 while the German giants come in at second on 18.661 with PSG on 17.000.
The report says that the Light Blues have taken 50 per cent of Scotland’s overall score while Celtic take a share of 30 per cent.
Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops make the top 50 in the coefficient rankings as they come in 46th with a score of 10.225.
