Titano Suites Hotel Review, San Marino

Out of season, breakfast is served in the attractive front room, with dark wood chairs and tables and a few terrace tables in warmer weather, while in summer it moves to the Sala del Vescovo room at the rear, which has deep red walls and imposing chandeliers. During the day for most of the year, the front room is also open to the public as an informal eatery and bar serving coffees, drinks and local dishes such as lasagne, as well as lighter snacks.

All year round, the breakfast buffet includes an impressive selection of homemade cakes, toast, croissants and crispy rolls, waffles and pancakes with jam or honey; there is also a selection of local cold cuts, cheese and hard-boiled eggs, while other types of egg and bacon can be requested. There’s a good choice of fresh and dried fruit as well as cereals and yogurts; soya milk and a range of gluten-free products are available.

The top-floor La Terrazza restaurant provides more formal dining, also to non-guests, in an elegant and highly panoramic location with a beamed ceiling and small terrace. The menu is based on local specialities including truffle omelettes, slow-cooked rabbit with porcini mushrooms and home-made pasta dishes, and also provides tasty vegan options such as beetroot gnocchi with pistachio pesto. Wines at both eateries include a selection of excellent San Marino labels.
