Oddschecker has announced that 41% of all bets placed have been placed on San Marino, following the release of their song “Adrenalina”.
In a press release, the website Oddchecker has revealed that 41% of all bets placed on the winner of Eurovision have been placed on San Marino since the release of their song.
Oddschecker stated:
“Despite not being the most well-known country in Europe, San Marino have potentially secured one of the greatest coups in not only the history of Eurovision, but quite possibly the history of anything.”
Prior to the release of Senhit’s song featuring Flo Rida, “Adrenalina”, San Marino sat at odds of 299/1 to win Eurovision. Within minutes, the odds were slashed to as short as 14/1 on some betting websites.
In a matter of minutes, San Marino’s chances of winning Eurovision rose from 0.3% to 6.7%. On one U.K-based bookmaker’s website, they are the sixth favourite to win.
Senhit will represent San Marino in the second semi-final, due to be hosted on the 20th of May. It currently remains unknown whether Flo Rida will be on the stage with Senhit or not.
Who is Senhit?
Senhit was born on October 1st 1979 in Bologna, Italy to Eritrean parents. She previously represented San Marino at the 2011 contest with her song “Stand By”. Since her previous participation, she went on to release new singles “Through The Rain” and “AOK”, as well as appearing as a permanent guest on Canale 5’s “Domenica Live”.

San Marino debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 alongside Azerbaijan. On their debut they were represented by Miodio and the song “Complice”, and finished last in their semi-final with just 5 points. San Marino withdrew from the contest before returning again in 2011. Since then the country has participated annually and in 2014 qualified for their first final. The nation’s worst result came in 2017 when Valentina Monetta represented San Marino for the fourth time alongside Jimmie Wilson with “Spirit of the Night.” The pair finished last in their semi-final with just 1 point.
