In pioneering Lithuania, the first all-women list in the country’s political history has been unveiled. The Lithuanian Greens are hoping that this list will help more women get elected to the European Parliament, where men still make up around 60% of the members. The candidates are also trying to draw attention to other gender issues, such as the pay gap.

In Everyday Europe, FRANCE 24’s Luke Brown looks at how the EU is putting the brakes on the most polluting cars.

Sophie Samaille and Luke Brown recap the landmark legislative moments of the outgoing 2019-2024 European parliament.

And FRANCE 24’s correspondents Alexia Kefalas and Nathalie Savaricas report from Greece, which has become the first Christian Orthodox country in the world to adopt laws recognising same-sex marriage and also the adoption of children by homosexual couples. The law has sharpened the ideological dividing lines in the EU election campaign.
