Portfolio, one of the newer high-end restaurants in the city, is an intimate temple of contemporary design (bold patterned carpets, oak tables, slick dining chairs) set inside the historic Lann Palace. It’s best known for the five-course tasting menu, which prides itself on fresh and seasonal ingredients from Czech producers and features treats such as duck liver foie gras terrine, duck prosciutto, carrot cake with pecan nuts and figs, blood orange matched to a 2019 Gewurztraminer. There are also refined vegetarian options such as cauliflower in clarified butter, smoked tofu, caramelised shallot and chipotle oil, a great selection of Moravian and Bohemian wines, and memorable desserts, such as white chocolate ganache, pear, gingerbread with tonka beans and sea buckthorn.
